On December 21, 2023, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) conducted a payout event in Dauis as part of its concerted effort to enhance the well-being of residents. This initiative, facilitated through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program, brought benefits to individuals from 12 barangays. The success of this significant endeavor was achieved through the collaborative efforts of Senator Risa Hontiveros, who conveyed a prerecorded message to the payout members gathered at Dauis Gym.

The TUPAD program, abbreviated for Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers, is designed to offer short-term employment opportunities to marginalized and displaced workers in the Philippines. Serving as a crucial support system, the program aims to provide these individuals with a pathway to overcome economic challenges, enabling them to rebuild their lives and enhance their financial stability.

Mayor Roman Bullen extended a warm welcome to all participants and expressed gratitude to Senator Risa Hontiveros for her contribution. He also emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities provided by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
